This is what I prayed for! - a piece of land not so very large, where there would be a garden, and
near the house a spring of ever-flowing water, and
up above these a stretch of woodland. For what else should I sing of with my prosaic muse, now that I have fled the city for these rustic hills?
Thalassa B & B is located in Arcidosso, Tuscany, on the slopes of Mount Amiata, an extinct, beautifully verdant volcano between the Maremma and the Val d'Orcia, near the historical and culturally significant cities of Pienza, Montalcino and Siena. The foothills of this mountain are blessed with many villages equally rich in history and culture. Abundantly fertile, Amiata is the kingdom of Chestnuts, of Montecucco wine, and olive oil from Seggiano, and it has beech woods among the most extensive in Europe. Its panoramic views stretch from the central Apennines (from Gran Sasso to Abetone) to the Tyrrhenian Sea with the Argentario and the Tuscan Archipelago as far as Corsica. It's the ideal place to spend a holiday at any time of the year.
